Q: What browser should I be using?

A: You need a current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (8.0 or above, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. To check your version, open your browser and then click on 'Help,' then select 'About' and the version number will be displayed. If your version number is lower than these version numbers, visit the appropriate website below to obtain a free, updated version.

Q: What do if do if my screen is not displaying correctly?

A: When using Internet Explorer make sure that your "Compatibility View" is turned off.

Q: I already have an account. Do I need to register?

A: Yes. Registering gives you your customized account information and allows us to verify and update information related to your individual online account.

Q: How do I get my user ID and password?

A: Companies wishing to buy online (this does not apply to credit card customers) must register for access by completing the online registration form that is available here. Once the registration is processed, we will notify you via e-mail of your confidential user ID.

Q: How long before I can use the online services?

A: Most registrations are completed and sent back via e-mail within 24 hrs.

Q: What payment options are available for ordering online?

A: Customers may chose to open an account or order using a credit card. If using credit card, you will be given the opportunity to register for future purchases. In addition, you will be notified of special promotions.

Q: What are my delivery options for products I buy online?

A: A list of delivery options including standard UPS services and a Freight carrier option are listed as you finish your order. When the ship via field is highlighted, there will be ‘Pick’ button below if you wish to choose something other than the default UPS ground. Please call 1-800-556-9999 or Fax 1-800-556-8899 any order that has special shipping requirements not found in the options.

Q: How do hazardous items affect my order?

A: Additional charges may be incurred from UPS for HAZ (hazardous) coded items. The HAZ code will appear in the product description while in order entry. An order with a hazardous item on it will make that order exempt from any special freight program and could incur additional freight charges.

Q: What do I do if I lose my ID and/or Password?

Q: What do I do if I can’t find the item I’m looking for?

A: If you can’t find a particular item online, you can request a quote from our Customer Service Department. Phone 1-800-556-9999 or Fax 1-800-556-8899

Q: What should I know when entering one of your product numbers?

A: All part numbers as viewed in the catalog start with two letters and two numbers followed by a dash.
Example: MT36-33003 – Enter as MT3633003
When entering part numbers online always omit the first dash. Only one product line in the catalog has more than one dash on some of their items. In that case only a second and/or third dash would be used.
Example: MT80-500-197 – Enter as MT80500-197.

Q: How do I check status of my online order?

A: Once logged in you can select "Order History" in the footer of the page or "My Account" at the top of the page and then "Order History. You can then click on the order number to see more details.

Q: Is Java needed to access the site?

A: Yes. Java must be enabled on your browser in order to use the online ordering system when using Internet Explorer.

Q: How do I find out if I have Java enabled on my computer?

A: For most Windows versions except some XP— check this information for IE — If you are getting an error that states that Java needs to be enabled, follow these steps.

• Internet Explorer:

1. Start the browser, click on 'Tools', and then select 'Options'.
2. Click on the 'Advanced' tab.
3. Scroll down until you find the section titled 'Jave (Sun)'.
4. Verify that the box for 'Use JRE applet' is checked. If it is not checked, check it and then click 'OK.' Select the shutdown and restart option from the main Windows screen to restart your computer for the new setting to take effect.

Q: Where do I go to get Java?

A: Windows XP users that do not have the Microsoft VM or Java (sun) – Please download and install the Sun Java client. Click here to download and begin installation.
